There a lot of different words to describe how someone writes or speaks. It is good to know these, so if you ever have to write an article describing another piece of writing, you have plenty of adjectives at your disposal.

When someone is described as being loquacious , it means they have a tendency to talk a lot. Common synonyms for this include chatty, used informally, and talkative. If someone talks a lot, and uses a lot more words than they need to, you could call them verbose. A lesson common word with a similar meaning is prolix. You could also describe them as ‘long-winded’ or ‘rambling-on’.

There are a number of commonly used synonyms for say. It is one of the most commonly used words, especially in fiction writing, so learning some alternatives may make you writing more interesting.
