Obviously, one of the main things the TOEFL is designed to measure is vocabulary. You also need to have a solid understanding of grammar as well, but learning new vocabulary will help you a long way, as long as you are selective as to which words you choose to learn. I would recommend you to be around English speakers, or watch TV programs in English. If you don\'t have any English-speaking friends, this is a great opportunity to make some new ones. You could also try to persuade one of your other friends to start learning English with you. Write down any words that you hear, that you don’t understand. This is a good way because a word used in everyday conversation is far more likely to be a common word than one picked at random out of a dictionary .
\'\'\'Suffixes\'\'\' and \'\'\'prefixes\'\'\' are particularly useful because they can form a great many words, and if you are not sure what the word means it could give you a clue
It is a great idea to learn about the overall directions you will have to follow on the TOEFL. this saves time when you are doing the actual test.In terms of the practical details, make sure you have the proper identification. You must bring two forms, and one must have your photograph on it. Wear comfortable clothes, you don’t want to be distracted by any kind of uncomfortableness when taking the test. Depending on where you live, make sure your clothes will keep you comfortable in hot or cold conditions.
Planning your time is a key to success in any test. Make sure you know how much time you will have to spend on each section. Set yourself a maximum time limit to spend on each type of question. Remember to take a watch with you.
